Keeping Germs At Bay With Lotus Hand Sanitiser

As winter turns to spring you might think that you are finally safe from all those nasty germs that seem to float around during the colder months, unfortunately you couldn’t be further from the truth. As the weather begins to get a little bit warmer those germs can still be lurking.

The best way to help keep germs at bay, whatever the weather, is of course to follow good hygiene routines. It is just as important to follow these routines whether you are at home, in the work place or even out and about:

Good hygiene practises

Whether you work in the health sector, with food or even in an office, good hygiene practises are the same. The advice from public health experts is that washing your hands with ordinary soap and water is the most effective way that an individual can remove germs from their hands.

But, and this is the important thing, you need to use warm water and wash them for a minimum of 20 seconds making sure to get into all the crevices of your hands and wrists with plenty of soap. Sadly, this is rarely how people wash their hands.

Lotus hand sanitisers are a great alternative, they are very effective, kill most common types of bacteria, viruses and fungi in a matter of seconds. The recommendation with sanitisers is to rub your hands for a full 15 seconds, again this is something that people rarely do. But because hand sanitisers kill germs in just a few seconds, poor hand sanitiser use is still considerably better than poor handwashing with soap and water.

Picking the right-hand sanitiser

So, if you are looking to take steps to keep germs at bay this spring it is worth replacing some of the soap in your workplace in favour of hand sanitisers.

Having made this decision, it is important to pick the best hand sanitiser for your needs. Do not be fooled into buying the cheapest options that are available as they might not be as effective. Look for a sanitiser with an alcohol content of over 60% as recommended by the FDA and other government organisations. Place them where they can be seen easily and are therefore completely accessible to everyone; hallways, offices and other public areas.

Hopefully having the best hand sanitisers in place will help to reduce the number of germs around, giving you a healthier workforce all round.
